Habitat for Humanity of Coastal Fairfield County’s service area runs along coastal Connecticut from Stratford to Greenwich. As of early 2011 we have 17 future homes under construction or ready to be built…..and for the first time ever we are working simultaneously in Bridgeport, Stratford and Stamford. For detailed information about specific sites that Habitat CFC is working on or has recently completed, use the navigation to the right, or for brief summaries of our projects scan below.

William Street, Bridgeport

William Street, an 1891 brick row house, is located in the Pembroke Historic District of Bridgeport. Habitat’s award winning renovation has transformed it into homes for twelve families and a show place for the neighborhood.

West Main, Stamford

West Main Street Commons is in the process of becoming a home to eight Stamford families. Rising from what had been the de-facto neighborhood dump, it is the product of wide-based municipal, faith group and private sector financial support. West Main Street is Habitat’s first project in Stamford. Download factsheet

Peace Street, Stratford

Originally, the site of a derelict home, a generous Stratford resident financed the purchase of the lot. The generosity of private donors and labor of many volunteers is now building what will be Habitat’s 20th home in Stratford. Download factsheet

Beach Street, Bridgeport

Beach Street is one of seven homes that are now being built in Bridgeport, thanks to special support from the City. Impressed with what 25 years of Habitat work had accomplished for Bridgeport, the City wanted to assist us in doing more. It deeded the vacant lots to us, along with allocating $525,000 of HUD grants to help finance construction of these seven homes. Download factsheet
